THE HH NAWAKWI SAGA: A BAD EPISODE OF PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
The problems our country is currently facing won't disappear overnight, and neither will the world end if politicians for once, can act like they really care about the integrity of the citizenry. It is high time they stopped acting like an average Zambian is just some average Joe or Jane who has to nod to everything that is put on their table swallow any form of codswallop they decide to shove down our throats! It is no secret that the aforementioned political players are big names in Zambian politics and yet for some reason they both have resorted to petty squabbles prior to an election year.
If Miss Nawakwi means well i would say she had plenty of time to voice out her concerns way before 2020, but that isn't the case and now we as a nation are stuck with opposition leaders that would rather point fingers for damages no longer as relevant as building the next bridge. If am not mistaken His Excellence the former President Dr Frederick T. Jacob Chiluba God bless his soul left office in 2001, why is the "selling" of the mines been voiced out with such vehemence now? Why question another leader of how they are acquiring their wealth and not ask of how they are distributing it? why now? There is a profound verse in Proverbs that says, "the troughs are never clean where oxen are present", I implore Miss Nawakwi to be resolute in her manner of coming to terms with how this whole thing of the mines concluded, collusion or not it is never a good move of turning right when left is where you should heard, lest us the herd are also hot on her heels as leader, the nation is bound to get lost in an indefinite manner.
In conclusion both these leaders at some point worked with His Excellence the former President Mr Michael C. Sata should he be used as a criterion to judge the intentions of these two leaders, it is safe to say the two leaders alluded to are highly influential as such that influence shouldn't become an influenza, we all want to be affluent and Zambia to be a great nation filled with unity and peace.
