Decision making and Innovations of Third World Leaders.
We lost today's match, how sad for us all Zambians. We lost a lot more in that regard compared to the fact that we have a police force that needs adequate training in the way it handles riotous behaviour. Losing the football match was so sad, that a politician is busy out there making claims that the soul of the student who died as collateral damage in an unnecessary and unwarranted for debacle between the police and the students was that of a rotten apple, a bad egg so to say.
Now while these over ambitious politicians are trying to get in the good graces of the Chief Resident of our dearly beloved nation, Fuel prices are at K16/ litre, Decisions Decisions Decisions!!!

$100 a barrel? Will Iran sanctions and Venezuela crisis bring oil price spike?
The middle east despite of its wars and all the terrorism that even for a fraction of a second can not be likened to the type Chilufya Tayali was suggesting on this evening's news is the world's beacon of hope in the supply of Crude Oil. Now say the Chief Resident the Class Representative of Zambia His Excellency the President Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu was having difficulties with how he is going to navigate this ship of ours to greener pastures as the storm appears to the very reincarnate of bad seamanship, surely he would expect bright ideas coming from "intellectuals" like Chilufya Tayali.
Sound ideas from young fresh minds that this country of ours can benefit from for generations to come. Alas guys like Tayali are forever in a third world mindset, as such we can't really rely on them for actual progress.
Tongas have been at the receiving end of ridicule for as long as i can remember in this One Zambia One Nation governed republic, today however i think this country as a whole can learn a thing or two from our bull riding brethrens and sisters.
You see they have long been using trains as their means of transport such that in our ignorance we chose to ridicule them and have prejudiced notions about travelling by train. But what we should really have was to cry to the government to improve not just the Railway system but the Trains in use as well, an investment in that angle can really do us good, the Zambia Railway Limited is in collaborations with the Zambia Tourism Board and most tour companies make use of their railway system, as such the company ZRL is really not going under but it's still not providing the service that it was tasked to provide at the same time.
Let them invest in the fast trains that are now a common site all over the world and let the slow trains be handed over to the "tourism department" of ZRL that will be a liaison between ZRL and the Ministry of Tourism so to say. This will surely help us in this fix we are in of fuel prices going higher and higher every time the United States of America plays bully with other countries.
REST IN PEACE BELOVED STUDENT.
