Bi-Polar Life in A third world Order

Black or white does not matter when one is diagnosed with bi-polar. It often seems like a curse more than a gift for most of us, again colour is of no consequence if you can't cope or if you don't have adequate family support. As humans we are always living in fear of things that emit immense possibilities and perpetual hope, there are worser things than the mania side of the condition under discussion;things like low self esteem, mediocrity and inferiority complexes are incurable and by far are scourges gnawing and chewing away at most young Africans, though incurable in it that they are not diseases nor disorders they are however controllable cause they are but states of mind inflicted upon us by the very powers that be. Bi-polar disorder can be controlled and very much be used to one's benefit.
The secret lies in finding a balance of the day as one takes life one day at a time.
Cyclothymia is a much better version or rather a controlled state of the disorder.

For those in the Performing Arts this controlled version of the disorder is much more of an asset than a disabillity.
The stigma that comes with this condition when one is not on medication is nothing compared to the low esteem and depression that comes with the "sometimes" body altering medication that inevitably leads to obesity if one slacks where exercising is concerned. Either way one has to find order in the chaos of things, medication works for most people out there but for most of us here in Africa the condition comes as a passage of rite to adulthood and as such not a lot of time is taken into finding the right medication for the "patient". Outdoor activities, recreational hobbies and other forms of interactive entertainment help one in keeping that balance between euphoria and depression. Evidently with adequate family support one will no longer look at the condition as a disorder but just a condition.
Bi-polar goes both ways, sadness in it's extreme form as well as happiness in it's extremity. In order for one to keep a sober mind and not creep into that void of depression and unwarranted anger a balance has to be achieved.
Going way back in the years of old, everything was just seen as mental disorders now things are changing and it takes a whole new mindset to turn attitudes of the multitudes towards a new global truth. This will change a lot of things in the way of mental conditions for not every condition out there is a disorder that turns one into an invalid. Even in those with Autism a rare quality of ingenuity is found. It starts with us all and inevitably it will change with us all. Unlike Autism,Bi-polar disorder is often refered to as manic depression this is because often patients or rather persons with this condition tend to be in a mania of some sort where a feeling of elation and euphoria is deeply exagerrated often bringing about consequences unaccounted for. This can however be controlled preferably with beginning to know oneself; like what one expects out of the various avenues of life only then can one muster the attitude of controlling the manias.
The benefits of this condition when one is at the helm of one's mind is unmistakenly a success that cannot be quantified in one's endeavours. Like sex with a lover who is recovering from a low self esteem they cannot say it was good nor great why? We don't keep count when it's fun! And to ask for another's opinion wwhen you obviously come off as a "maniac" will only merit you an answer that alludes to the fact,"Success cannot be quantified when it's wrapped in quality."
